A multi-award-winning pecorino-style cheese from Berkshire in England.
Anne and Andy Wigmore were inspired by ewes’ milk cheeses (pecorini) of Sardinia during their holiday there and set out to develop their own version of the cheese. After months and years of development and fine-tuning, Spenwood was born.
Spenwood is a firm mature ewe’s milk cheese with a nutty flavour that becomes more piquant as the cheese matures. Needless to say, it is an excellent alternative to pecorino and Manchego for those who are keen to support British traditional cheesemakers.
