Our Roquefort comes from the smallest producer who are create a truly authentic artisan cheese that is always cut from the wheel and never vacuum-packed to retain its amazing flavour, texture and aroma!
Roquefort, also known as The King of Blues, was awarded it AOC status in 1925. To qualify all the wheels have to be made from raw Lacaune ewe's milk. After making wheels are held in selected dairies for 10 days, and then placed for aging in the natural caves of Mount Combalou.
The superb Le Vieux Berger Roquefort is a revelation: its well-balanced flavour is spicy, rich and somewhat nutty. The paste is full of deep pockets of blue and is rich and creamy on the palate.
