About the Cheese

A Brie-style cheese made in the Highlands of Scotland by the Stone family and their team, Minger is a delightful addition to any cheese lover's repertoire.

When fully ripe, Minger is gooey, rich, and soft on the inside. On the outside, it features a cheerful orange rind, tinged with annatto, which is both edible and delicious.

The cheese has a memorable aroma, though not quite as strong as its name might suggest.

Enjoy this little pillow of cheese on a cheeseboard with a glass of light red or white wine.

Cheesemaker: Highland Fine Cheeses

Highland Fine Cheeses, passionately created in Tain, Scotland, came to life on Blarliath Farm. This small business operates from the dairy on the farm, producing a unique collection of artisan cheeses.

Founded by Reggie and Susannah Stone, the farm's cheesemaking legacy began with a complaint about the lack of traditional Crowdie cheese, leading Susannah to start producing it herself.

Today, their son Rory Stone heads the company, focusing on mould-ripened cheeses using milk from local farms. The Stone family's dedication to traditional methods and high-quality ingredients ensures that each cheese they produce is a true reflection of the Highland's rich dairy heritage.
