About the Cheese
One of the most sought-after Scottish farmhouse cheeses, Corra Linn is a handcrafted, firm cheddar-style cheese made from the raw milk of Lacaune sheep on a family farm in Lanarkshire.
Matured for a minimum of 12 months, Corra Linn boasts a firm, crumbly texture with pleasant nutty flavours and light earthy afternotes.
Enjoy it with medium-bodied red wines, craft ale or single malt whisty for a perfect pairing.
Cheesemaker: Errington Cheese
The Errington family, originally from Dumfriesshire, relocated to Lanarkshire in 1981, establishing a mixed farming enterprise with beef cattle and sheep. In the 1980s, Humphrey Errington started making cheese aiming to revive the tradition of raw milk cheese in Scotland.
Today, Humphrey's daughter, Selina Cairns, carries on the cheesemaking legacy, being one of the few in the UK to produce cheese from both sheep's and goat's milk.
The farm is home to around 100 goats, a mix of Saanen, Toggenburg, and Alpine breeds, whose milk is used to make Elrick Log, alongside their flock of Lacaune and Friesian sheep.
1% of every sale will be donated to the Mental Health Foundation via Work for Good
Due to small-scale production and logistical delays certain cheeses and condiments may be unavailable. We'll substitute them with similar products as needed. You can specify if you are happy with substitutions on the Cart page.
