About the Cheese

Alp Blossom’s simply stunning appearance ensures this cheese will be the belle of the ball on any cheeseboard. The rind is coated in a vibrant mix of scented flowers and herbs, making it not only visually captivating but also wonderfully aromatic.

Crafted by the renowned Albert Kraus, this cheese is made from the rich milk of two local herds of Brown Swiss cows in the picturesque Allgäu region of Bavaria, at the southernmost edge of Germany.

Its smooth, moist texture and sweet, gentle flavour evoke mountain meadows. The beefy, umami paste pairs beautifully with the sweet, floral rind.

Enjoy with elegant white or red wines and fruit puree condiments.

Cheesemaker: Hofkäserei Kraus cheese dairy

Albert Kraus and his team have been producing cheese from the finest Allgäu milk since March 1999 at the Hofkäserei Kraus cheese dairy in Ebersbach near Obergünzburg. This milk is sourced from two traditional Allgäu farms located just five kilometers from the dairy.

Delivered fresh daily, this milk is used to craft a variety of Allgäu cheese specialties using traditional methods, with maturation periods ranging from three to 18 months.

Due to small-scale production and logistical delays certain cheeses and condiments may be unavailable. We'll substitute them with similar products as needed. You can specify if you are happy with substitutions on the Cart page.
