The Cheese Lady Shortlisted for Retail Entrepreneur of the Year at 2025 Great British Entrepreneur Awards
We’re thrilled to share that The Cheese Lady has been shortlisted for the Retail Entrepreneur of the Year (Scotland) at the 2025 Great British Entrepreneur Awards, supported by Allica Bank.
This recognition is a real honour, especially considering the calibre of businesses celebrated by these awards. Known as “The Grammys of Entrepreneurship”, the GBEA spotlights founders who are shaping the future of British business through innovation, resilience, and purpose.
Founded in 2017, The Cheese Lady has grown from a single shop in East Lothian to a multi-channel business with two award-winning retail stores and a thriving online store. Rooted in a passion for fine cheese and inspired by the values of connection, quality, and joy, The Cheese Lady is known for championing farmhouse and artisan cheesemakers from across the British Isles and Europe.
“This moment belongs to our small but perfectly formed team, who live and breathe our values every day, and to our wonderful customers, many of whom have supported us since day one, seven years ago,” say co-founders Svetlana Kukharchuk and Pauline Lunam.
“We’re so grateful to share this journey with a community that truly believes the importance of real food and the power of slowing down and savouring life's precious moments.”
Winners will be announced at a prestigious ceremony on 17th November 2025 at London’s Grosvenor House Hotel, where entrepreneurs from across the UK will gather to celebrate the very best in British business.
Here’s to celebrating entrepreneurship, resilience, and the joy of fine cheese.
