A powerful fruity Swiss cheese with the rind washed with a secret brine consisting wine and spices. The black label Appenzeller is matured for a minimum of 6 months but often longer than that. The wonderfully smooth texture is aromatic, sweet and nutty. It is fantastic both for cooking and snacking on with a glass of wine. Off-dry white wines are recommended or elegant reds.
