PER-ORDERING

With continued uncertainty in the country across many industries, this year it is especially important to place your orders as early as possible.

It is best to place your orders (for any products available on our website) via our website it will help us to forward plan and keep all the operations streamlined as much as possible.

DELIVERY and COLLECTION dates in December are available now.

However if you do require any help with choosing your Christmas cheese, please come and speak to us at the shop or book a call with me here.

Please note, cheeses can last in the fridge, so it is not absolutely paramount to get it the day before Christmas.

Soft cheeses will last up to 2 weeks in the fridge; firm/hard cheeses will last up to a month (if any mould develops on the surface, feel free to scrape it off and enjoy the rest of the cheese)

 

SHOPPING IN STORE

To keep everyone safe and comfortable, we will continue to limit the number of people allowed into the store at the same time.

If at all possible, please come to the shop alone to allow fellow shoppers to come in and be served at the same time. If you need members of your family to help you choose your Christmas cheeses, please have a browse through our full cheese range from the comfort of your home on www.thecheeselady.co.uk

Our website has a number of very useful filters that will allow you to find cheeses by texture, milk, rennet type and even the beverage they pair with! So if possible, please make yourself a shopping list before visiting the store. Or if you want to pre-order your cheese, you can place your order on the website and opt for the Store Collection option. Dates in December are available now.

CLICK AND COLLECT

This option is available for those who prefer to visit the shop to collect their order. Please see the dates available on the CART page. 

 

THE BELOW INFORMATION APPLIES TO ALL ONLINE ORDERS TO BE DELIVERED AFTER 13.12.2020

 

FOR ALL ORDERS

Make sure to provide

  • Alternative delivery instructions: if you're not going to be home, please let us know where to leave your perishable delivery
  • Directions: especially if your address is tricky to find. 

 

UK MAINLAND ORDERS

  • Best delivery dates: Dec 15, 16, 17
  • Dec 21 & 22 are available but please be aware delays are more likely
  • Dec 23 is a possibility but you’re at the mercy of the courier
  • If you book a UK Mainland delivery outside of these dates, we will aim to deliver it on one of the dates stated above, as our courier does not deliver Sundays and Mondays.
  • Last orders will be taken on Dec 20 or as soon as we reach capacity (which is very likely to be before Dec20).
  • Remember to provide alternative delivery instructions, if you’re not going to be at home
  • Please allow extra time for your parcel to arrive. Due to the volume of parcels being handled by the courier, shipments can be delayed. But your cheese will be travelling on ice so can stay in transit up to 48 hours (and even longer in the colder months), if necessary
  • Due to unpredictable stock supplies we cannot absolutely guarantee product availability, so substitutions are possible. If you do not want any substitutions, please state so in the notes, and the product that's not available will be refunded.
  • It is your responsibility to track the delivery of your order (including orders sent as gifts).

 

LOCAL DELIVERIES (Dunbar, North Berwick, Gullane, Aberlady, East Linton, Gifford, Haddington)

  • We are planning to deliver every day from 15th until 24th of December
  • Please provide alternative delivery instructions, if you’re not going to be at home
  • When at checkout, you can select your preferred delivery date. However, we may need to deliver your order on another date (as close to the preferred date as possible) as we will need to group local deliveries by area
  • Last orders will be taken on Dec 20 or as soon as we reach capacity (which is very likely to be before Dec20)
  • Due to unpredictable stock supplies we cannot absolutely guarantee product availability, so substitutions are possible. If you do not want any substitutions, please state so in the order notes, and the product that's not available will be refunded.
